  • EMDR Telehealth for Survivors of Big & Small Traumatic Experiences, in Oregon

“You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.”

Hi, I’m Elisabeth Eugenia Goldenberg, Bilingual LCSW, Certified EMDR Therapist.

You are probably here because you are outwardly successful in your professional & personal life but secretly have trouble believing in yourself. Maybe you have painful past experiences you try hard to suppress & patterns that hold you back on the inside, you have trouble saying no & feel like you’re never good enough no matter how hard you try. Or perhaps you have a hard time truly trusting others, often feeling tense, nervous, jumpy, or on edge. You’ve probably tried many things in the past including self-help books, podcasts, workshops, online classes, maybe even therapy, but you know you are not where you want to be.

Imagine yourself one day waking up without nightmares, enjoying life, feeling more fully present every moment, feeling safe enough to explore friendships, romantic relationships, and say “no.” Traumatic experiences can happen to any one of us at any time in our lives. I know that you have the potential to heal & build a better life for yourself because other survivors of trauma I have worked with & met have done so. I love working with people who know that they deserve better & who want to invest in themselves to make that a reality.

I love working with EMDR Therapy because I get to witness the potential I hold for my clients in my mind, transform into reality “almost like magic” as we jump-start their brain’s self-healing process. I am bilingual & bicultural (Spanish) & enjoy empowering people from diverse backgrounds. I feel privileged to be a collaborator/ facilitator in someone else’s healing process. It is a beautiful thing!

If you’re ready to invest in becoming a phoenix, I invite you to reach out to me to schedule a telehealth appointment & get to know each other.

    How I Work

During our sessions, I invite you to show up as who you are. We will collaborate so we can make sense of what you have survived. I will help you gain clarity & understand why you do what you do to survive. Together we can play detective & identify feelings, thoughts & patterns that might be preventing you from becoming the person you want to be. Then we can develop strategies, skills & a mindset that will help you heal. If you choose to work with EMDR Therapy, we will restart your brain’s natural self-healing abilities so you can see yourself & your future through more positive, hopeful eyes.

    EMDR

EMDR can help you jump-start your brain’s healing at a neural-biological level to process & achieve lasting change. This is important because once you rewire your brain at this level it will reduce your discomfort from traumatic memories & you will feel empowered to be in the present. Then the patterns that used to hold you back will decrease and you will be able to confront situations in a more positive frame of mind choosing the way you want to behave instead of simply reacting.

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

With CBT, you’ll be able to adjust the thoughts that directly influence your emotions and behavior. This adjustment process is referred to as cognitive reconstructing, which happens through different CBT techniques.

    Counseling for Trauma

Research has proven psychotherapy to be the most effective form of treatment for trauma. Most commonly, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) are used in treating trauma.
